A concept for a larger painting work that went out of hand and turned into a finished piece

"She is the twillight priestess and it is her duty to keep peace between the forces of good and evil.
Every generation there is one girl choosen or better said cursed to become priestess, therefore she losts her name, her memory, her freedom even her health- her hair turns white and her eyes becomes blind over the time force to see far beyond imagination. She does not ear nor drink or sleep from that day on she is a vessel and the pillar of her realm."

This is a comissioned character portrait of a female chiss (a race from star wars galaxies) . The client had a very clear/complete idea about the painting and I m happy that I matched it well.

This painting restest unfinishd on my HD almost 2 years, started back then as a practice for embroidery and stuff.
While beeing a very generic "girl in a gown" setting I wanted to finish it to see how far I would come with that genre and if I would like it.

This is a very personal piece, I am sort of sensitive about. Started 4 years ago, finished a month or so days ago.

Took me a bit to decide to enter it into the gallery because these days portraits doesnt seem to have a strong lobby
I would be really gratefull if you would too try to not just judge it for its technical level or how simple it is instead of try to see the emotion in it, taking it just as what it is ..a portrait from the heart .. thanks =)

The symetrical look was part of my vision and wanted that way.

Took me quite alot time and its far the most detailed thing I ve done to that date.
I heavily enjoyed drawing the wood, like Bob Ross always said
"another happy little tree lives here..."
